What happened to all the artists like Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, Air, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, to name a few… early electronic music came from an age where emphasis was still on songwriting, it’s just what people cared about and poured into new aesthetics and sonic territories. Now we just want some beats and an escape, more generic dubstep and muzak to fill all the empty spots in our day.
